If breaks in pelvis showed up in CT and not in xray, does that mean smaller or might heal sooner?

92 in nursing homex3mo after pelvic fracture. Daughter was told everyone is dnr, full code is inhumane, breaks ribs so she had md cancel my request?!

Oh no: Your request is your request. Unless you have been deemed incapable of making your own decisions, you can have any life saving measures as you want. Make it clear that it is your request and decision. A pelvic fracture is usually stable and heals just fine. In fact, other than the pain from walking, it is safe to skip on out of there (figure of speech, not easily done). ...Read more

Quit shaving: Agree with Dr. Adam. It could be any of the things he mentioned. You are making matters worse by shaving. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

I have a lot of white flaky rings on my pelvic around the base of my hair and two small bumps I have shaved a while back and now my hair growing back ?

I have a lot of white flaky rings on my pelvic around the base of my hair and two small bumps I have shaved a while back and now my hair growing back ?

This is not unusual: Just like shaving anywhere, the hair follicles can become irritated and inflamed afterwards and the red bumps are likely associated with hair growing back. This is common. Make sure you shave (carefully!) with a clean blade, rinse after each stroke, exfoliate gently afterward, and don't use fragrance powders/lotions. OTC cortisone cream can help with redness/bumps. Stay well:) ...Read more

Are you supposed to shave down there for your gynecologist visit.. I've never done a pelvic exam and I'm nervous any tips ?? What should I do ?

Are you supposed to shave down there for your gynecologist visit.. I've never done a pelvic exam and I'm nervous any tips ?? What should I do ?

No need to shave: There is no need to shave pubic hair. The more people who shave their pubic hair, the more pressure there will be upon other people to also shave their pubic hair. Since there is nothing inherently abnormal about pubic hair, there is no reason to shave pubic hair. It's just fashion. If one is a teen, she has many other more important things to do, so pubic hair should not be an issue. ...Read more

Bad Osteo & now all I have/hear is my pelvic area/hip etc "pop/crack"! HELP why is this? I'm scared I'm breaking every time!! Makes me just want 2 sit

If there's no pain: then the noises you are hearing are not anything to worry about. On the other hand severe pain even in the absence of any clicking, popping or crackling is something that should be looked into right away. So if you aren't having trouble walking or standing, then there's no cause for alarm. Get your osteoporosis treated, bear weight as recommended by your doctor.Get vitamin D checked if hasn't been ...Read more

Im a male and my left pelvic/groin area is puffy and squishy?

Possible hernia: Groin or inguinal hernias are pretty common in males( although can happen in women too)and appear most of the time as soft protrusion which is usually non or slightly tender.
