Many factors: There are many factors that need to occur for a pregnancy to take place. Even if both you and your partner are perfectly healthy it can come down to timing. If I had unprotected sex yesterday and the day before and my ovulation day is tomorrow I can't get pregnant right? I would have to have it day of?
Wrong: People who have sex can get pregnant. Thus, be sure to be ready to be married, settled down, with stable jobs that provide health insurance (because babies are cute and have lots of doctor visits). Hi there, I have a problem. I have been trying to get a baby 4 the past 6 months bt I can't get pregnant. Am worried becoz I track my ovulation days wel?
See Your Gyn: If you've tried for 6 months it's probably time to see your gyn for routine eval and testing. They'll ensure ovulation, help confirm fertility, document patent (open) fallopian tubes, & check your partner's semen for viable sperm. You're young enough that you can buy an lh kit (ovulation kit) & check this first, but there's nothing wrong in seeing a professional & updating your exam. Take care. ...Read more
I am just curious what causes you not to ovulate? I have been taking the ovulation test and they turn out positive. I then go to the doctor and they take blood and tell me I am not ovulating. I am just curious does this mean I can't get pregnant.
This is a very tricky situation. The reason I say this is because if the blood test is not done at a specific time during your cycle (midpoint) then it is very difficult to determine if you are ovulating or not. I
f you are performing the ovulation kit as directed and if it's showing a positive result then you are likey ovulating and you should have intercourse on that day and the next.
Infertility is usually diagnosed after one year of failed attempts at becoming pregnant. After one year you can seek the help of a doctor who will help you determine the cause of your infertility and give you treatment options.
Try to relax and continue to use home ovulation kits as you like, and hopefully you will be pregnant soon. ...Read more

Not impossible: Anytime you have unprotected sex and are fertile, you are at risk for pregnancy. Although 6 days before ovulation date is unlikely to cause pregnancy, it is still possible. You can guess when you ovulate but never know for sure, thus the possibility is there. That's why we always recommend "protection" if pregnancy is not desired. ...Read more
