Tylenol, (acetaminophen) nsaid, time: If your elbows are stiff and sore from too many arm curls, i suggest tylenol, (acetaminophen) nsaid's (ibuprofen, aleve, etc), rest, and time. Following this approach, your symptoms should be better within a week. If they are not, then we need to rethink the cause of your complaints. Probably normal: It's normal for there to be numbness after massage or stretching. Sometimes the nerve gets pinched, a nearby muscle inflamed. As long as there is no weakness and the numbness gets better there is nothing to worry about. ...Read more

REST for Tendonitis: If you have tendonitis you will not heal if you do not give it enough time to rest. Working out or continuing any regular repetitive motions will lead to ongoing trauma and not allow the tissue to heal. You may do well with physical therapy. And, with rest, if you still are not healing you may need to put the arm in a sling for one to two weeks. Rest the injured tissue. ...Read more

Yes: Yes you can but you have to be careful. Its important to get more muscular strength in the rotator cuff and stabilizing muscles of the shoulder to prevent further injury. But its not always successful and sometimes surgery is needed. I would avoid having your arm out against your body as thats a dangerous position if you are prone to dislocate. Wearing a glove or soft splint and avoiding the positions that previously caused irritation is important as well as knowing what may have set the problem off in the first place.
