Wait: This is not unusual in that 15% of women in any given month will not ovulate. The next menstrual period may be heavier due to the build up of the lining of the uterus. If pain begins to occur, have an ultrasound. ...Read more

Menstrual Cycle (Definition)

The menstrual cycle begins with the shedding of the uterine lining, resulting in bleeding from the vagina. A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more

My breasts are larger than usual. I have uti. I missed my period but every pregnancy test comes out negative, I feel pregnant. Please help me.

Breast symptoms: First, i would recommend to redo a home preg test. Two negative tests are very confirming that you are not pregnant. Assuming you are not pregnant, missed cycle may cause breast tenderness due to hormonal alterations. Are you on any birth control? Additionally, symptoms could be all part of pms. If you have a uti, that should be unrelated to this concern. Easiest is to redo the test, for now. ...Read more

Most likely ok: As long as you haven't missed any pills, and your pregnancy test is negative, I wouldn't worry. Keep taking your pills as scheduled. Some women will skip, don't have menses or have very light scant flow on the newer lo dose pills. If you get any symptoms of pregnancy though, do another pregnancy test or check in with your doctor and get a blood pregnancy test. ...Read more

Test quality: For a regular home pregnancy test to turn positive, the newly implanted embryo must create enough of the hormone that shows up in the urine. That may take longer to be at high enough levels to trigger the test.A first morning urine is a little more concentrated and more likely to show positive early. ...Read more

How can you miss a period have a negative pregnancy test then concieve few days later and be pregnant?

2 ships crossing...: It sounds like you were juuust pregnant - like maybe a few days - when you took the first pregnancy test; and then later, your pregnancy progressed enough to be detectable by the test. Repeat test: If you did the test correctly and it was negative at three days after missed period, you are unlikely to be pregnant. It would be prudent to repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
