Had lapros gallbladder surg. No complications 7 days ago pain at inside and behind rt knee + top of calf, walking helps pain scale 3 clot?

Could be blood clot: You should see your surgeon asap to rule out the possibility that this could be a post-operative deep vein thrombosis (dvt). The common signs and symptoms of DVT include pain or tenderness, swelling, warmth, redness or discoloration, and distention of surface veins. An ultrasound of the leg can often make the diagnosis. If present, anticoagulant therapy should be implemented. ...Read more

Your doctor may also suggest a safe exercise plan. Walking is usually the easiest type of exercise, but swimming or other low-impact exercises can work just as well. Exercise is an important way to keep blood sugar in control, and physical activity in pregnancy has been found to decrease the risk ...Read more

So recently I had a cramp in my calf which move up behind my knee hurts so bad to walk or lay down just hurts so bad what could it be?

DVT Phlebitis WOW: Severe calf pain can be due to a muscle strain. However, complains of severe calf pain enhanced by laying down or walking, suggests that the problem is more serious. You need to have your leg evaluated immediately to make sure your pain is not due to a blood clot in the leg. I would not wait too long to have this seen as the lack of treatment could have catastrophic consequences. ...Read more

See a doctor please: Typically a DVT will cause discomfort at rest and with activity. The symptoms of a DVT can be vague so it is a good idea to get checked by a doctor and possibly an ultrasound. However. A muscle strain or some internal injury to the knee are more likely the cause. See doctor and I hope it resolves quickly. ...Read more

Sharp shooting pain behind right knee & calf when I walk started yesterday & Occasional first 3 toes go numb. What could be wrong? Home relief?

Calf pain: Pain behind the knee on walking, if not due to a strain, could be due to an inflammed muscle or tendon. Less likely would be a vein inflammation (phlebitis) or cyst. Numbness in the toes could be from a pinched nerve. See an orthopedic surgeon if symptoms persist or worsen. Cold or heat applications, liniment and, if you can take them, NSAIDS like ibuprofen rMay help. ...Read more

Pulling behind knee and cramp in calf. Happens laying down and walking. Also having tingling hands. Does this sound vascular? Neg ddimer and leg us.

Sounds like 2 things: Tingling hands are often the presenting symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome. One can also develop neuropathy in the lower extremities, but the area you describe would be pretty uncommon. Do you feel a mass or bump in the back of the knee? Sometimes a popliteal cyst can cause compression in that and be painful with pain referred down the leg. You could also have a ruptured cyst. See orthopedics soon. ...Read more

2 back surgeries in ~1 month. Wondering if increased swelling@L5-S1 from overdoing it could cause severe burning/cramping pain behind knee, in calf/ankle, & thigh? Have to lie down & hard to walk/sit.

2 back surgeries in ~1 month. Wondering if increased swelling@L5-S1 from overdoing it could cause severe burning/cramping pain behind knee, in calf/ankle, & thigh? Have to lie down & hard to walk/sit.

This may be related: To anyone of several possible causes. Sometimes, even though the nerve that may have had some compression on it does not immediately respond to surgery or if you had surgery especially 2 so close that just manipulation of nerve may cause inflammation. Also one has to make sure you did not develop a blood clot in leg post op. You should discuss this with your surgeon. Scar tissue can form now. ...Read more

Leg pain: Groin pain going down the leg can come from the back or hip joint. I would recommend seeing a good chiropractor and physical therapist. Usually it will get better. If not then seek help from your primary to get the X ray to see if this needs more than just therapy. For now epsom salt bath can relax the muscle. Claudication: This sounds like claudication which is a clinical diagnosis given for muscle pain (ache, cramp, numbness or sense of fatigue), classically in the calf muscle, which occurs during exercise, such as walking, and is relieved by a short period of rest. It is most commonly due to peripheral arterial disease or lumbar spinal stenosis. See your family doctor to sort this out. ...Read more

I have pain from behind the my knee that shots down my leg to my foot. It is sometimes so serve that I can't put pressure on my leg to walk. Neg-dvt?

Quickly or sooner.: By your comments, I'm not sure if you are saying the possibility of a dvt has been ruled out by testing or not. Either way, the chance of a dvt and the consequences of not treating it, could be catastrophic. I recommend that you be seen immediately, if you haven't been seen already to remove all doubt. There are other possibilities, and they can be explored by an orthopedic surgeon if dvt is neg. ...Read more
