Red scaling rashes generally fall into the category of "eczematous", meaning "like eczema". Eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, allergic or irritant contact dermatitis, and some bacterial and fungal infections fall into this category. Red scaling rashes are often itchy and can ...Read more
Yes: If you are talking about the normal peeling of new infant skin in the first month, sure it is fine to do a moisturizer, as long as it is unscented, and preferably a creme rather than a lotion. I recommend eucerin, or even an olive oil based unscented moisturizing creme when baby gets out of the bath, if you are interested to avoid petroleum based products on baby's skin. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Dry skin/eczema: It's recommended to use plain white moisturizers two times a day, use less warm wate for bath or showers, use soaps or bath gel for sensitive skin ( better to go with in colored and non fragrant or non scented, also gently tapping skin to dry than rubbing with towel is also recommended. See your doctor or skin specialist if not improving, sooner if worse. ...Read more

I have uneven skin tone, mild acne, oily skin with open pores. I have a wheatish complexion. I want white complexion, flawless skin, what should I do?
Reconsider your wish: Please forgive my frankness. You're asking for something that we cannot give, and you should not want. I'm sorry you got acne scars and I'm glad you're being treated with the right medicine. A plastic surgeon can help with the scars. But please don't try to change the color that Nature gave you. And you'll see "flawless skin" only in retouched ads. Those who love you love what's "not perfect." ...Read more

Cuticles easily dry up and peel up creating painful flaps of skin. I don't bite my nails, i moisturize, and I use cuticle oils. Any opinions/solutions?
React 2 cuticle oil: Read the ingredients of the cuticle oil, and see what is in it to make sure that you aren't reacting to the actual oil but you're using on your cuticles. Are you want to use something that's more natural, non-toxic, and less chemical. So that your cuticle can remain supple. I'm also using natural oils like raw, coconut oil may be a better choice. Also, making sure that you get enough omega three and sixes in your diet. ...Read more

No: Just leave it alone. It will simply fall off on it's own. If you are worried that the skin is so dry that it may be getting cracked in certain locations (wrists or ankles in particular right after birth), try applying some vasoline or aquaphor ointment. In due time, the old (dead skin) will simply fall off as you bathe your baby and the new skin underneath will be nice and soft. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Recently had skin peel off scrotom and penile shaft. Almost like sunburn peeling skin. What causes this?
uncomfortable probl: At the risk of oversimplifying a potentially complicated problem, this sounds like an inflammation or irritation of the skin in that area causing the peeling. Did you use a new lotion or other product in that area? Something came in contact with that particular area to cause the inflammation and irritation and so the key is to try to identify it and then, avoid it. ...Read more
