I Keep Losing Hearing In One Ear
I had sudden loss of hearing in one ear and high pitch ringing that started 6 weeks ago. Ent injected prednisone in middle ear. Still no improvement?
Lost total hearing in one ear due to strep throat. Now have ringing in ear and double vision with balance issues. Been 2 yrs now and nothing changes.

Get a hearing test: If this happened acutely it is likely you have fluid in your middle ear that is interfering with your hearing. Less likely, it could be a true one-sided hearing loss due to a neurologic problem. Get an audiology exam - many hospitals do these for free. I have used hyrogen peroxide directly in ear for ear wax and during ear wax hudrogen peroxide goes in ear & after it i feeling lose my hearing more!? Its demage inside ear!? Can u plez suggest me what to do !?
Peroxide for earwax: Peroxide progressively breaks down earwax with repeated use. I recommend that my patients use 5 drops in their affected ear 2-3 times a day for 7 days when their ear is filled with wax. Blocked ear: It is difficult to say. It appears that you are being treated for both otitis media and otitis externa. If there is fluid in the middle ear, you will have difficulty traveling by air. The most difficult part will be landing. You really should see your doctor prior to traveling and see if your condition has improved. Meniere's disease?: Are you having headaches as well? With vertigo, hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears perhaps??) you've described 3/4 symptoms of Ménière's disease, the only last symptom being headaches on the side of the hearing loss and ringing in the ear. In the absence of such loss, look for other factors: caffeine, alcohol, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, medication side effects, stress/anxiety.
