Severl possibilities: Exist and thus you should be seen first by your primary care MD. Then they can evaluate for referred pain from GI or Gyn sources. Additional Ortho possibilities include: Iliotibial band syndrome, hip issues or muscle strain vs muscle spasm vs sciatica.Since the treatment differs but most involve a trial of physical therapy and/or antiinflammatories, we need to be sure of the diagnosis. When I bend my neck I get a warm sensation down my left leg. It feels like warm water pouring down my leg. What could cause this? Could it be ms?

Position is Key: The fact that you can reproduce these symptoms by replicating a movement or position links the diagnosis to a musculoskeletal origin. You likely have changes in your cervical spine (neck area) that with the right movement can be made to impinge on a small area of your spinal chord....Which would explain your repeatable symtomology. Ms would not be positional.

Every few months I get a warming sensation in my left calf for 3-7 days. No pain no swelling. What could this be? How to know when dangerous?

Every few months I get a warming sensation in my left calf for 3-7 days. No pain no swelling. What could this be? How to know when dangerous?

Possible clot: A warm sensation in the calf is usually caused by inflammation. This could be a blood clot or inflammation of the veins (thrombophebitis). If so, it can become serious. An Ultrasound of the calf can help diagnose this. You should have a physician check it now and also the next time the sensation occurs. Good Luck.

I sporadically get a warm sensation in my upper, inner right thigh, just below my groin, this has been happening for several months. Should I see DR?

Not necessary: How long does it last? How severe is it? Is it warm to the touch is there a red area where the warmth resides. Does it respond to OTC meds. If it becomes persistent better see the Doc

Inflammation: Sometimes arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis) can cause warmth and pain with joint effusion. Other soft tissue abnormalities such as tendonitis, muscle strain. There are many other conditions that can cause similar findings. If this pain continues, you should consult physician for physical exam, possibly blood tests, and imaging studies.

I get warm sensations in my left calf, and it seems that I have some type of quarter-sized fungal rash. Could there be a correlation?

I get warm sensations in my left calf, and it seems that I have some type of quarter-sized fungal rash. Could there be a correlation?

Probably not: Go to the drug store and get some Clotrimazole or lotrimin (clotrimazole) cream. Rub this into the rash 2 x each day. If there is no improvement, then you most likely do not have a fungal rash and you should see a dermatologist.

Possible neuropathy: If you are overweight, there is a chance you could be developing diabetes and diabetic neuropathy as a complication. Also, spinal compression on a nerve can lead to neuropathy as well. A burning sensation on the legs, followed by numbness, is the usual course for neuropathy. Get checked by a doctor; consider an EMG/ NCV test for diagnosis. Good luck, thanks for asking HealthTap.

I have a warm sensation going through my vein in my leg, can you help tell me what it may be?

Could be inflammatio: Your symptoms are vague and not easy to diagnose. A warm sensation would suggest increased heat which could be due to inflammation, allergy or even could be nerve related. If it is related to a vein issue, it would be concerned about inflammation of the vein called phlebitis. If this was the problem then you should also have pain and hardness along the vein. It may be wise to see a vein md.

What could cause the sensation of warm water in my right leg when its not exposed to any liquid?

What could cause the sensation of warm water in my right leg when its not exposed to any liquid?

Neurological: If you don't have any skin changes (redness/discoloration), the area is not tender to touch, and there are no new lumps or bumps, then this is most likely due to a neurological condition. Neurologists are best at evaluating this and will most likely recommend getting an MRI to look for any changes in the nerves.

Sitting at work. Got warm sensation in legs then felt faint for a few seconds and it went away. What is this?

Nonspecific: This is a nondiagnostic symptom and the fact that no other symptoms followed points to there not being a serious problem. However if recurrent lightheaded episodes occur, it would be important to see a physician who will perform a physical examination including checking blood pressure, Heart rate and rhythm, blood tests for anemia, thyroid function, sugar, etc.

Random periodic warm sensation in left leg for a week - like someone pouring hot water inside of it. Not warm to touch. What to do?

Random periodic warm sensation in left leg for a week - like someone pouring hot water inside of it. Not warm to touch. What to do?

Be examined: A hot feeling in your leg, if occurring with exercise could be because of decreased oxygen to the leg because of not enough oxygen delivered to and lactic acid removed from the leg. This happens when plaque starts to block the supplying artery. Another possibility is nerve pain from a back problem even though the back itself may not hurt. See MD for examination, diagnosis, and treatment if required
