Had a leep procedure on feb 22nd period is now two weeks late(feb 28) and I have had a neg pregnant test?
Delayed Menses: It is not unusual to have a delayed period after any surgical procedure as this is a form of "stress" to your body. There are other possible causes of a delayed period aside from a pregnancy. I would recommend waiting for a few more weeks and repeating the pregnancy test then. If it still does not come, go see your doctor. ...Read more

I have had anorectal warts causes by hpv almost two years ago. I'm getting them removed this week with a leep. Is this method effective with a 30% recc?
Can help: The HPV family of viruses have the ability to hibernate in your tissue and return to a symptomatic phase at some point in the future. Whether you burn/freeze or cut the warts off, there may be virus hiding at other locations that will emerge in the future. It may also be one & done, since some do not experience recurrence. ...Read more

Can i be pregnant after having a leep surgery two weeks ago? Would the surgery affect my pregnancy?
Yes: Take a test. If you conceived right before the surgery you could have a negative test then and be pregnant now. If you have a normal cervical length after your surgery your pregnancy shouldn't be affected. But your doctor may want to look at the length on ultrasound in the early/mid 2nd trimester. ...Read more

I had a LEEP procedure done two weeks ago. I'm still bleeding. Is this normal? When can I douche or take a bath? I feel gross and its foul smelling.
Contact your GYN: While some discharge may be present for up to 4 weeks after a LEEP procedure, we really expect bleeding to stop by the 2-week mark. Most would allow bathing after two weeks (showering before), but no douching. I believe your doctor would want to know you are still bleeding. Please contact her. Good wishes:) ...Read more
Had a d &c 4 months ago with leep, emb, ecc- chronic inflammation of cervix. Last two cycles I have light pink spotting cd16-18. What can cause this?
Healing: A leep procedure involves removing a section of the cervix for evaluation & treatment of abnormal pap smear and/or cervical biopsy findings. It can take a while for the cervix to heal, especially since the normal vagina contains bacteria and is usually moist. The other biopsies may contribute to spotting as well. ...Read more
Hi. I am now two months late with my period. I have severe lower back pain. I had a leep cone biopsy a year ago due to stage 3 displasia.
Not pregnant as husband had vasectomy 6 years ago but period is two months late and severe lower back pain. Had leep done a year ago due to dysplasia?
I just had a leep done Monday, the pain isn't going away and while I didn't have any bleeding after, I now have discharge and it's smells awful?
Discharge is normal: The discharge is normal. It smells bad due to break down of tissue in the healing process. The pain should be getting better. If it is not then you need to call the doctor that performed the LEEP and let them know. They may need to see you and do an exam. ...Read more
I had a LEEP on friday. I just passed what looked like a large piece of yellow tissue and had bad cramps afterwards. What is this????
Leepin' Lizards!!: Could be residual cauterized tissue or other stuff called "coagulum." Could be some infected tissue. Whatever it is, you got cramps which means your uterus was trying to squeeze the rest out. If that continues and Motrin doesn't help, or more tissue comes out or you get a fever or increasing pain or problems urinating or a foul odor, then see your doctor (or someone) ASAP. ...Read more

I had a LEEP procedure a week ago and just started bleeding. Is this normal and how long will it possibly last?
A "LEEP" of faith..: A "LEEP" of faith says the bleeding is probably related to the procedure. After all, it is designed to remove tissue from the cervix — sometimes the lacerated part will scab over and then break loose after a time — could be a week — especially if progesterone is enhancing the cervical bogginess/ thickness. ...Read more

I just got my leep results as hgsil with negative margins but glandular involvement. The ECC was normal. What does that mean?
Leep: This means that the high Grade dysplasia (severely abnormal cells) were not only on the outer part of the cervix, but also slightly extended into the glandular part. Negative margins means that it appears that they were able to remove all of that high grade dysplasia. A normal ECC means that they didn't find dysplasia in the endocervical canal which is good. ...Read more
LSIL?: This suggests your pap smear showed mild dysplasia, also called LSIL (low grade squamous intra-epithelial lesion) -- or, if you have had a biopsy, CIN I (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, grade I). LSIL/CIN 1 rarely progresses to more serious disease and clears up on its own, usually within a year. It usually doesn't need LEEP or other treatment. Discuss with your doctor to clarify. ...Read more
Depends: The answer to this question really depends on her diagnosis. I assume she has some sort of problem with her pap smear. Usually cervical issues, those conditions found in a pap test, don't require hysterectomy. The leep can be both diagnostic and treat most conditions involving her cervix, but she should consult her doctor as to why either procedure should be done. ...Read more
