I hit my toe several days ago and the blood clot or bloodblister will not go away. Anyone know how to get it out?
Pierce the nail: If the blood is beneath the nail, seek assistance from medical professional, by using a heated wire to pierce the nail, a hole can be made which would allow the clot to drain. Then, simple wound care to the aperture would be all that is necessary to get the wound to heal. ...Read more

Is it fresh? Old blood clots will not drain-dry.
I do not recommend that people do this on there own due to pain & the risk of infection but if you are determined to save some money. Take a safety pin and get it hot from a liter. Touch the nail plate with it over the blood clot just enough to get a little blood out. Gently squese the nail & milk the blood out. Antibiotic cream band aid. ...Read more

I dropped a can of vegetables onto my foot where there are arteries. As a healthy adult, can I get phlebitis and a blood clot that can travel in body?
Phleb-oy-tis??: Only if it was a can of Manischewitz gifilte fish. Otherwise, you're in the clear. Yes, there are superficial arteries there, but only veins can get"phlebitis, "which is unlikely to begin with, but even if one got inflamed and developed a small clot, it being superficial (like the artery), there would be no way for it to get into the deep veins & travel "up the body" (like, into the lungs). Calf: Does the calf feel tender to touch? Do you feel a bump or lump? Have you been sitting for a long period of time recently? Any difficulty breathing? Any history of blood coagulation disorders? Bump to the toe.: Numbness, especially on the top of the big toe, with the appearance of a sub dermal blood blister, usually means an injury of sort. I used to run with shoes a bit tight at toe end. Now my right toe turns black. Its like blood clot. What shall I do?
Toe or toenail?: Is the actual toe turning black or just the nail? If just the nail, this is probably not serious. It is most likely just bleeding or dried blood beneath the nail plate, you may eventually lose the nail, but a new one will grow in over time. If it is the toe itself, then a clot or circulation compromise may be the cause and that is more serious. Consult a foot specialist who can better evaluate. ...Read more
2ultrasounds, blood work, lung ct, chest xray=no blood clot. Calf has aching pain on&off. Toes have pins&needles feeling. Upperback pain. Missed DVT?
Not likely: The most common reason why someone would have aching in the calves is musculoskeletal. Try doing calf stretching and hamstring stretching. See an Osteopath or try looking at your activity level. With the work up you have had, I would not be fixated on a blood clot without some other compelling reason. ...Read more

Need foot exam: You may be suffering from improper shoe wear which can be exquisitely dangerous in a diabetic. I am assuming by seeing a blood clot, you mean a scab or blood blister. You should certainly have a foot exam to make sure you are getting appropriate blood supply to those toes and make sure your shoes are not causing damage. Get checked out to avoid eventual amputation. Also keep close eye on sugars. ...Read more

Surface cord: The bump you feel could be a clot within a superficial vessel. These may cause pain and some redness, but rarely are the source of emboli to other organs.
