Any injury or trauma? Car accidents? Swollen glands? Again, how long has neck been hurting? What makes it worse? Better? Any fever? Sore throat? Is pain in front or back? When does your symptom occur? It is unlikely that blood is surging through your neck but there is obviously something that needs attention.
