Tough to say: without a visual of what you are describing. It's very possible that it's a normal condition of the tongue because there are indeed many bumps on the tongue. Sometimes a map-like pattern of reddish spots can occur, called geographic tongue, which is harmless. Potential explanatio: Red spots on the back of the throat could be petechiae, or little bruises. These occur from trauma. Maybe back off from any oral activities you may be partaking in.
