GERD??: Shortness of breath and weight loss can be caused by many things. Since it is not improving on anti-reflux med for 2 months, you need further evaluation. A lung doctor may be helpful to figure out what the shortness of breath is from. Are your oxygen levels low? Pulmonary function testing, a CAT scan of the chest, blood work, etc. may be needed. Really?: Primary hypertension is not common (less than 10%) before age 40. Sudden weight loss is also rare. These two "facts" need to be confirmed before jumping to any conclusions.
