Frequency: If you are voiding too frequently in small amounts a bladder infection is possible. Less likely would be overflow incontinence which occurs if your bladder is severely distended and unable to fully empty. If you are voiding in large amounts, diabetes mellitus or insipidus could be the cause. Perhaps you have a small bladder capacity. See a urologist who will perform the necessary investigation. ...Read more
Why do I pee so much as a diabetic? I understand that the need to urinate more is a sign of a diabetic, but I have been diagnosed 3months now.
Diabetes and pee: Diabetics pee a lot when their blood sugar is high. High blood sugar causes there to be sugar in the urine, where it is not normally present. UTI : Uti otherwise known as urinary tract infection can present in many ways. The most common symptoms of a UTI are frequency, burning, and urgency. There can also be blood in the urine (hematuria), lower abdominal pain, flank or back pain, and sometimes fever. Based on your symptoms, there is a strong chance you are suffering from a uti. I recommend that you be seen by your primary care provider ras soon as possible. You can expect that urine tests will be done to determine if in fact you have a uti. If it is determined that you have a UTI then you will be prescribed an antibiotic. If not, then other possibilites will be explored.
