Tingling (Definition)

Tingling is a pins and needle like sensation anywhere on the body. May also be termed paresthesia. Can experience when elbow is bumped (funny bone), or even from frostbite. On its own, unlikely significant but may be part of nerve pathology from ...Read more

"Stretch Injury": You probably stretched the nerves under your shoulder (arm pit) and the symptoms should subside. If they persist your doctor (who should be a Orthopedic or Occupational Medicine doc) can order tests to further evaluate your symptoms.

What can cause tingling in my right arm and hand?

Most likely: You probably have some nerve compression at either elbow or wrist. Would be unlikely that this is due to vascular or systemic issues. See your physician and get examined.

Numb feet: The signs you are describing of numb feet, tingling in hands and urge to urinate can be from Diabetes. You should be examined by a primary physicians who can run certain blood tests to rule it out. Other neuropathic and endocrine diseases can mimic this too. Don't hesitate to make an appointment.

Tingling in right arm and hand?

Tingling in right arm and hand?

Nerve symptoms: Might be due to carpal tunnel, nerve pinching at elbow (cubital tunnel), but also neck and shoulder may have problems. Sort out and confirm with your doc, and perhaps get confirmatory testing. Occas, bilat symptoms due to some medicines, and rarely an issue with cardiac disease (but over left arm, not the right).

What does tingling in right arm and hand mean?

What does tingling in right arm and hand mean?

Possib pinched nerve: More information is needed. Depending on the location of the tingling, and which fingers are affected, the possibilities include carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve compression or cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck).

Tingling and numbness in right arm and hand?

Tingling and numbness in right arm and hand?

Be seen: The most likely cause is a cervical Radiculopathy, which is basically a pinched nerve in the neck. But because of the association of cardiac disease and left shoulder and arm complaints, you would be well served to be seen. Peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome are also a possible cause.

What could be the reason for right arm and hand tingling when sitting down or when arm moves a certain way?

What could be the reason for right arm and hand tingling when sitting down or when arm moves a certain way?

Nerve problem: A cervical nerve (exiting the spinal cord at the neck) could be impinged, and certain movements or positions make it worse. Evaluation should start by your primary care physician, and possibly X-rays and/or MRI per your Dr.'s discretion.

I 've had numbness and tingling in my right hand for awhile now. My right arm gets numbness and tingling too. I experience no pain at all.?

Neuropathy: Numbness and tingling (paresthesias) in the hand and arm can be due to nerve compression in several areas: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (from pinched nerve in wrist), Ulnar Neuropathy (nerve compression at elbow) and Cervical radiculopathy (compression in the neck) For more information on CTS see: http://bit. I just want to know possible causes of my right arm and hand tingling every time I urinate.

I just want to know possible causes of my right arm and hand tingling every time I urinate.

Wow. .. that's an: Unusual association! One might speculate that a change in position in your low back/lumbar spine when you sit on the toilet might cause some nerve compression but it's hard to imagine this effect in the upper spine where nerves to arms/hands exit. Perhaps this is a valsalva (push to urinate) effect, though hard to imagine, too. I can only suggest discussion with your doctor/probably a Neurologist

What medical condition could be the cause if the right arm and hand are numb, tingling, and sore?

What medical condition could be the cause if the right arm and hand are numb, tingling, and sore?

Pinched Nerve: While there are many causes of arm pain and numbness one of the most common causes is cervical radiculopathy. This occurs when one of the nerves leaving the neck gets compressed as it leaves the spine and travels down the arm. Compression may occur due to degenerative/bulging discs or arthritic bone spurs contacting the nerve. See your physician if these symptoms last longer than 2 weeks.

If my right arm and hand from the elbow down are tingling, is this probably a sign of poor blood circulation?

If my right arm and hand from the elbow down are tingling, is this probably a sign of poor blood circulation?

Cubital tunnel: A more common cause of the described symptoms is compression of the ulnar nerve behind the elbow. Tingling from ulnar nerve goes into the small and ring finger. Try wearing an elbow pad with the pad rotated around to the front of the elbow at night. This keeps the elbow from bending, thereby keeping pressure off the nerve. If symptoms persist, consult with an upper extremity surgeon. Emg helpful.

Been to p.T. For tingling going down to right hand. Found out right arm is loosing some strength. Also now gwtting tingling in left. What is going on?

Neck: Need to get evaluation of your neck, as you might possess cervical stenosis, or even what is termed "central cord syndrome". Of course, might merely be carpal tunnel syndrome or other peripheral nerve process. An MRI and/or an EMG will likely sort this out.

Needs evaluation: The variety of locations of the tingling could be due to a variety of conditions. Arthritis, deteriorating. Discs, or a neurologic condition are all possibilities. Xrays may be needed as well.

Needs to be checked: It needs to be checked by your doctor or a neurologist. We need detailed History and Phtsical Exam including Complete neurological exam and if indicated may need some tests like imaging and nerve conduction studies etc. It may be coming from the cervical spine or local problem in the arm. Needs to be checked

Sudden pain after gardening in right arm, getting worse, developed tingling in right hand, taken pain relief and using hot and cold packs,?

It depends: The pain makes it less likely a stroke or something which requires immediate attention. Heart attacks can create pain in the extremities but not the tingling typically. Most likely we are dealing with a nerve that is pinched, most often at the neck level. If not promptly better with conservative measures such as otc pain remedies, heat/ice...clearly worth having checked out asap.
