Your best bet: Is to review these issues with your primary care doctor. They could be anxiety related but may also be related to another process. AM stiffness: This is a common symptom in people who have arthritis of different kinds. Impossible to say what kind without an exam. For most people the stiffness works itself out after a little while. Hot showers or baths help. Gentle opening and closing of the fingers usually helps. No injury?: Assuming you haven't injured that finger somehow (sometimes it is hard to remember...might have seemed like nothing at the time)... I'm thinking things that aren't exactly "serious", but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt! Possibly tendinitis in that finger, or a bit of arthritis in the joint. Try using an ice pack, and reducing movement, maybe w/ a splint. If it continues, I would get an x-ray. Read more
