Stye?: If this little eyelid bump is on the margin or slightly inside, it may be a blocked oil gland (stye). These are generally sore to touch and may drain, which if into the eye, may cause redness, mattering & blurry vision. Some result in significant eyelid swelling. Apply warm compresses 2-4 times /day followed by gently massaging the area. Most resolve in 7-10 days. If not or worse, See an Eye MD. ...Read more

Probable sty: Likely an infection of one of the glands in the eyelid. Medical term is hordeolum. Warms compresses 4-5 times a day for 10-15 minutes with gentle pressure applied to the area. If not quickly resolved will need topical bacitracin opthalmic ointment which is a prescription. If there is significant swelling and redness involving much of the eye lid oral antibiotics are occasionally needed. ...Read more

Examination needed: There may be a blocked duct in the lid causing the swelling. Have your physician examine her for diagnosis and the proper treatment. If necessary he/ she may recommend an evaluation by an ophthalmologist. In the meantime try warm water applications. I don't recommend starting amoxicillin. ...Read more
