I Have Stining Chest Pain When I Exhale What Is That
What could cause a sharp pain in my right shoulder that is almost unbearable, only when i yawn? (not when i breathe deeply or anything similar)
Yawwwwwwn....POP!!: When someone yawns, it usually means that they take a breath then hold it under pressure for a short while. If that's what you do, that means there's some pressure held expanding your lungs. So if it hurts, that might mean something wrong in there. If it persists or gets worse, you'll need to be examined in person. If it also hurts when you cough or sneeze, all the more reason to see a doctor. ...Read more

I have been having upper back pain that radiates to the chest and I mistake it for chest pain. It's worse if I take a deep breath. My chest X-ray was normal. What could this be?
Possibly serious: It is possible that this pain could be serious. The most concerning possibility would be a blood clot in your lung. This would cause a feeling of shortness of breath. This is often not seen on a plain chest xray. You would need to go to the emergency room to be seen for this. The other likely less serious cause is a muscle pull. This would cause more pain with movement without a deep breath. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have right ventricular dysplasia and sometimes when i breathe deeply i feel a pain in my lungs, is this normal?
What does it mean when i take a deep breathe and i feel a sharp pain in my chest, could i be having a heart attack. Please im scared?
Unlikely: Typically at your age this symptom would not indicate a heart attack however it could indicate a serious problem like pneumonia or a blood clot in the lung if you have other symptoms like cough, fever and sweating in the former or shortness of breath in the latter. More than likely, this is neither of those and unless you have other symptoms, I would suggest you make an appointment with your doc ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

When I take a deep breath I feel vibration in my lung. As I cough it goes away. what could it be? AM I dying?
Probably not now!: Vibration with a deep breath may be coming from mucus or fluid within the larger airway tubes. The fact that it clears with coughing is reassuring. Do see your doctor to allay your fears. The problem with life is that nobody gets out of it alive. But here's hoping you have MANY healthy decades ahead! LGromkoMD ...Read more

What does it mean to have sudden sharp pain in the heart area? One breath makes it feel like I have a rock in my heart, if i hold my breath it stops
I have had random really sharp chest pains that feel like someone is squeezing my chest and then letting go, what can it be?
Likey muscular: If the pain lasts less than 5 minutes at a time and/or you can make it worse or better by moving upper chest or arms then it is likely muscular in origin or even a pinched nerve. Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for a short time period of less than a week should be enough. Longer than that should be looked at by your doctor. If not relieved by the above then see your doctor sooner to see what else is going on ...Read more
