What is the best way to help gums infected with gum disease? I have sore gums, especially in the back of my mouth, but I do floss and brush daily. Is there anything i could be eating or drinking that makes this worse?

I have sore gums behind the last lower tooth on left, very painful...Using ibuprofen... Can it be infection?
Maybe. See dentist : My first guess is trauma. Upper teeth extend just beyond lower teeth usually (even more so if there is an upper wisdom tooth present and none yet on lower). It is likely that some hard food was gnashed into gums, making them sore. Alternatively, if there is a partially erupted wisdom tooth, this is a great candidate for local infection (often accompanied by slight pain on swallowing or fever). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Please call your Dentist for an appointment. Additionally, if you smoke, quit. If you're a heavy drinker, quit. Both can damage oral tissues. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I have soreness in my gums, started 3 days ago got a sore throat & menstruation cycle too. Started in my 2 front upper teeth spreading to my left gums?
Hygiene...: Braces cause a lot of gum problems when there is no appropriate care. Your brushing and flossing must be perfect.
