No, not smallpox: Small pox has been eradicated, meaning it no longer exists in our daily lives. Rashes are difficult to describe in words. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can examine a red spots rash to see what it might be. Sometimes rashes are related to medications, viral infections, or allergies. One should bring to the doctor a list of all medications used in the month before the rash appeared. ...Read more

Have 3 flu hemangiomas on liver. As adult only I'm getting lots of small red spots filled with blood all over body, face and scalp. Due to liver? Name?
Probably nothing: If the red spots on your skin are cherry hemangiomas / "Campbell de Morgan spots", relax, they mean absolutely nothing. Maybe one person has a hemangioma or two or three in the liver and it's a non-issue itself -- a Gorbachev birthmark, a curiosity. Be thankful for good health. ...Read more

No fun!: Skin problems can be a real challenge without actually seeing the rash. In general, rashes are diagnosed based on their size, shape, color and distribution. The age of the patient and their medical history are also very important. In your case, I would be curious to know if you have recently switched to a different laundry soap for your bedding. On the safe side, i'd get it looked at by your doc. ...Read more
Everytime I shower or take a bath I get itchy red spots on my body mostly on my upper body and face sometimes. Is it an allergy to be concerned of?
Heat Urticaria: Some people get hives from exposure to really hot water. The rapid change in skin temperature from cold to hot and then hot to cold causes release of histamine which is what causes the rash. You can take a shower that is not quite as hot and see if this helps or you can take a long acting antihistamine like Zyrtec (cetirizine) and see if this helps. If not see an allergist. ...Read more
I have small red spots on my torso after tanning. Do they get larger if not treated? Do they go away after time?
As with any rash an eyes on exam is always best. It could be an irritation around the hair follicles. If not too bad observe it for a few days. More importantly - why tanning? Dark skin culturally viewed as healthy but it's on the same scale as smoking as cancer risk. Invest in spray on if needed or gradual coloring body lotion.
