My son has a soft red bump on his earlobe for at least a week. It doesn't hurt to touch, can barely be felt, but it is always red and slightly raised.

Mgt: If this is an isolated rash without other symptoms, it may be due to an insect bite. Application of 1 percent hydrocortisone topical cream twice a day for 3 days may help. If it persists please see your PCP. ...Read more

It sounds like a: contact dermatitis or allergic reaction at your earlobe. Do you wear pierced earrings? If you do,stop wearing them immediately. Get a steroid cream or ointment from your Dr.to relive these symptoms. Also try benadryl (diphenhydramine) to relieve itch and swelling. ...Read more

One earlobe is red and painful to the touch. I do not wear earrings of any sort. Only soft portion of earlobe hurts. Rest of ear is normal.

?? Infection: It is possible to have an infected cyst of the earlobe. Even if you do not wear earrings you couls have an infection or cyst. See your doctor or local surgeon for an evaluation. If present, it may be able to be treated with antibiotics or may need excision. ...Read more
