More stomach acid can leak out of your stomach into your esophagus causing burning. Rib torsion.: Lie down face up. Have friend compress your chest at sternum with downward pressure. See if reproduces pain. Also when experience it try locate it and press hard. If reproduces or increases it probably torsioned rib which is common. We call them rib lesions. If at area where rib stops and cartilage attaches it to sternum that's costochondrits? Chest pain: Most likely is reflux, can try over the counter ranitidine or prevecid and see if helps. Avoid energy drinks, caffeine ,alcohol smoking, spicy foods. Also check for h pylori a bacteria that sometimes complicates reflux.
