I Have Low Thyroid Levels Can I Still Get Pregnant
Possibly but unwise: Hypothyroidism reduces fertility, making it more difficult to conceive but it is possible to get pregnant when hypothyroid. However, that would be unwise because hypothyroidism during pregnancy increases risk of miscarriage, pre-eclampsia, premature birth and having a mentally retarded child. It is important to make sure your thyroid level is normal first. See http://www.Ivf1.Com/hypothyroidism/. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Can i get pregnant if i have galactorrhea.? Hormone and thyroid levels are fine. I also haven't had a period in 4 months. Can I get pregnant?
Definitely Possible: I can not answer the question as to how, but you can get pregnant with an elevated DHEA (or DHEA-S). The answer as to how depends on the cause and there are several. You need to see a doctor experienced in disorders of androgens, find the cause & then get treated. I rec starting with an Endocrinologist or Reproductive Endo. Don't panic, first find out if there is even a problem & go from there. ...Read more
Unprotected sex: Ignore high DHEA. If you want to get pregnant, engage in unprotected sex. See your FamilyDoc for preconception counseling & to review chronic conditions & medications. Start taking Folic Acid now. Stop drinking alcohol now. Eat right. Exercise. Get plenty of sleep. Then have fun (sex). But must be patient for up to a year. If no pregnancy after 12mo, then see Reproductive Endocrinologist for tests ...Read more
I have high levels on my thyroid and prostrum and I am wanting to get pregnant. Is there a way I can still get pregnant ?
Not sure what: prosturm is, but if your thyroid level is high it needs to be treated either with radioactive iodine or anti-thyroid drugs until the levels are normalized. It is much more difficult to become pregnant when your thyroid is overactive, and the incidence of miscarriage and other problems increases, so wait until it's normalized for safety. ...Read more
No: Hcg alone cannot tell one they are going to miscarry. In early pregnancy the HCG should double every 2-3 days. If it is falling, or is not rising substantially over time, it is likely that there is a problem with the pregnancy (impending or current miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy). Once there is a visible pregnancy on ultrasound, hcgs have little value, and the ultrasound is more meaningful. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have high Prolactin levels: 48.0/ng/mL, I have regular periods and am ovulating according to my fertility mon.Can I get pregnant without treatment?
Big prolactin: Hi. Why was prolactin checked? If you have regular periods and no breast milk production, have your doc check "big prolactin" or "macroprolactinemia"; the test is commercially available. Big prolactin is a complex of prolactin molecules in the circulation that does NOT cause galactorrhea/amenorrhea syndrome. It does NOT impair fertility, and does NOT need treatment. ...Read more

What to do if I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and underactive thyroid, can I still get pregnant?
I am w/o a pituitary gland. I am on replacement medications. Like estradiol and progesterone. I found out I have very low fsh. Can i get pregnant?
Gonadotropins: Since fsh and lh are pituitary hormones if you really have no pituitary function (pan-hypopituitarism) it is not surprising your fsh would be near zero. As long as your ovaries and reproductive tract are normal (probably they are) it is very possible to get pregnant with drugs that contain fsh and lh, we do it all the time. Good luck. ...Read more
