I would be: Sure to clean well, then apply an antifungal cream at night. It is not always fungus, so if it does not improve after a couple of weeks other etiologies must be considered. (erythrasma, eczema, etc).

The skin in-between my toes itches. The skin grows dies and can be peeled off. Underneath the dead skin is new skin that is very white and itches.?

This can be: Due to either a fungus or a bacteria. The key is do not pull at any of the peeling skin as this could cauase a bad infection. You can try a topical antifungal agent. If using creams better to use them at night so as when you walk it does not cause skin chafing. Betadine solution painted with a q tip is another option.

Tinea pedis: Probable fungus. Ventilate feet, barefoot much of the time at home. Do not wear sox in bed. Otc creams can be used, including lamasil (terbinafine), lotrimin (clotrimazole), and others. The generics are the same, only cheaper. Use 2x a day for at least a month and maybe forever. Do not be concerned about others because we are all exposed to the fungus. Symptoms occur for a variety of reasons, inc.

Brown dead skin between toes, should I be concerned?

Have it evaluated: It could be a fungal infection, a yeast infection or a soft corn...Among other things. I would suggest you have it evaluated to resolve the issue and make sure it is nothing to be concerned about.

Topical antifungal: I usually suggest a vinegar soak of 1/4 cup of white vingar in a quart of luke warm water and soak your foot for 15 min. Then a topical antibiotic cream if you think it might be bacterial infected then/or a topical antifungal cream.

How to get rid of dead white skin between toes?

How to get rid of dead white skin between toes?

May be mechanical: Many times this finding is secondary to mechanical irritation caused by adjacent toes rubbing together. Most commonly the 4th and 5th toes. As the toes contract (hammer), the bones in the toes shift slightly allowing the bone in adjacent toe to rub leading to callus formation. This can become quite painful. See your podiatrist for an evaluation and treatment options. Dr l.

Different: Different fungi exhibit different patterns and characteristics. As dr. Fowler suggested, try using an over-the-counter anti-fungal like lotrimin, Lamisil or tinactin, (tolnaftate) twice a day. If you don't see any improvement in a few days, see a podiatrist or dermatologist, as it might not be a fungus. If you do see an improvement, keep using the cream twice a day for 30 days, since fungal spores live for 30 days. If you keep getting athlete's foot, you might want to keep using an anti-fungal cream once a day for life. There is also something called a steri-shoe, which is an ultraviolet light that will sterilize the insides of your shoes in 40 minutes. If you keep getting reinfected, you might want to invest in that. I've attached a link.
