Might be allergies: You can treat an itchy throat with warm salt water gargles and an over the counter antihistamine like loratadine. If you have allergies the Loratadine should help, and if it's just irritation the salt water will help. Make the salt water weak- not more than 1/2 tsp per cup of warm water.
