Just like aspirin: The risk of gastrointestinal complications from Plavix (clopidogrel) is similar to Aspirin and includes gastritis/peptic ulcers, bleeding. Diarrhea, rash, low platelet count etc... Aspirin can be more problematic to asthmatics, but otherswise both meds have similar side effects. Plavix (clopidogrel): No. It should be every day. There are blood tests now to evaluate the efficacy due to genetic variances and drug interactions. Avoid Aspirin and non steroidal agents with this if possible. ...Read more
