Using dovobet ointment on psoriasis since 12 now 19. occasionally on genital area. What could be the side effects ? Permanent? I have stopped now.
Depends on how used: Avoid any but occasional use in folds such as genital. Likely to cause atrophy [thinning] of skin there. Using large amounts, more than 2 oz per week, might produce enough systemic absorption of steroid to be a problem. Atrophy of skin is not permanent, but is slow to recover. Generally safe.
