Few possibilities: First i would be sure you had " complete pfts. I have had a cough for years quit smoking a year ago still have cough and pains under left breast?

If you were treated specifically for cough, or for asthma, you may need a different medication to address the problem. Talk to your doctor about this. Good luck. LGromkoMD ...Read more

Asthma? Bronchitis?: That's too long for a cough or for repeated antibiotic treatment. Your influenza may have triggered an underlying problem. It's time for additional exams and tests to check out things like asthma and other causes of chronic cough. See your doctor, and don't accept yet another antibiotic prescription without further evaluation. If you're a smoker, do your best to stop. ...Read more

Been having whooping cough for a year and a half, what should I do?
