Frequency v polyuria: Voiding hourly is abnormal and possible pathologic for any man: most men void 5-6 x's/day with urine outputs up 64 ounces. Are you diabetic? - diabetes causes increased thirst and polydypdia/polyuria. Something not right.: Urine is made from the liquid u consumed..Can't be from nothing. Remember: tea/coffee/juices/milk/sodas etc..Are mostly water..They just contain colorings and sugars/junks..Also, most of the food u eat contains water..Quite a bit of it actually. Check with doctor: Increased urination can be due to infection or diabetes, bladder or kidney or hormone problems, or just drinking too much fluids. Urinary frequency: Several possibilities. If small amounts with urgency or pain, a urinary tract infection is likely. Possibly overactive bladder. If large aounts of urine, i.e. bladder usually is quite full, then diabetes is probably the most likely possibility. Seriously abnormal kidney function could do it. See doctor: Water loss is not only from urine, but also from skin, breathing, stool, etc. At 140 kg, among other things, I have serious concerns about mouth breathing and obstructive sleep apnea (also restrictive breathing) in addition to fluid loss with sweating. Less ADH (vasopressin) : In central diabetes insipidus( di) there is lack of antidiuretic hormone secretion from hypothalamus, or the level is low. It might even be lower at night.
