I Have Blood Coming From My Anus
Trivial vs Serious: Usually this is from passing a hard piece of stool or some other trauma. It hurts, and goes away in short order. If this does not stop in a few days or if the stream is hard, or if the bleeding is or becomes very heavy, a physician visit is in order; if you are losing a large amount of blood (more than a pint total), emergency room visit. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
I notice after a bowel movement I have blood coming from my anus. What could be the reason for this? Should I go to the emergency room? It is also painful.
Bleeding after BM: The most likely reason for pain and bleeding after a bowel movement would be an anal fissure, or tear. This usually happens when a person tries to pass an unusually hard stool - as when we are constipated. The tissues tear a bit, and bleed. Hemorrhoids can bleed also. I think you should go to the er if the bleeding is heavy (unlikely). But do talk to your doctor about this problem. Lgromkomd.
Um...I just had anal sex and now when I go use the restoom there is mucus blood coming from my anus...am I in danger?
There is a red discharge coming from my anus, it's not blood because it tastes sweet. What could it be?
What to do if I had some vomiting and diahreah now when I go to use the bathroom blood clots are coming from my anus what does that mean?
ER: It is bleeding but from where and why. Its important to go to an ER now, you need to see a gastroenterologist to get a proper diagnoses
Fissures: Are tears in the anal canal from spasm in the internal sphincter which arises with constipation or chronic diarrhea. Besides causing pain and bleeding, they can get infected and cause abscesses and/or fistulas. They should be properly diagnosed and treated too avoid complications. Best to get a proper exam from a colon and rectal surgeon.
No: Blood from the anus is not normal and requires prompt medical evaluation.
Why is there a clear-ish jelly-like substance coming out of my anus? It just started two days ago and there is no blood and no pain.
See MD if repeated: Many entities can cause - commonly constipation (mucous flow around blockage), but also others like infection, inflammation, gut food allergies, tumors. If this is recurrent, be sure to followup with ur doctor. Red flags requiring more urgent workup would be pain, blood, fever, weight loss, age>50, positive family history of colorectal cancer, and prior polyps/colon cancer. Avoid milk for now
I wipe my anus real well after going toilet, sometimes see little specks of blood after, but now there's a little more blood with wiping, an I dying?
Minor anal bleeding: Dying?? Of course not! A little anal irritation with blood is very common and usually harmless. Perhaps you are wiping too hard -- go easy, or perhaps use moist towelettes or moisten toilet tissue with water. If bleeding continues, see a doctor -- maybe an anal fissure or hemorrhoids; these also are minor health problems.
I have this strange growth on the outside of my anus, its about 3mm long, and doesn't hurt but a lot of the time when I wipe there is blood on tissue?
Painless? A lot?: May be from hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids can bleed, are painless. Could be other causes: inflammation, tumor, fragile blood vessels, diverticulosis (pockets in bowel wall) bright red blood? On toilet paper? In bowl? On stool? In stool? Dark red? Painful? One time? Recurrent? Other bowel symptoms like diarrhea? See your doc to make sure.See 1 more doctor answer
Could be many: Things from benign to very serious. Please see a specialist such as colorectal surgeon or gastroenterologist and better to be seen when actually bleeding or with a sample to be able to confirm that what you are seeing is actually blood.
If it involved: Anal intercourse then your symptoms are from trauma. If not then its not related. Follow up with a GI doctor for further workup.
Possibly very bad...: You have provided us insufficient information to determine if you just traumatized the anus, or caused actual and potentially serious damage to your rectum and/or colon. Two pieces of advice: 1) Don't do this again; 2) Get to the Emergency Room now.
Anal bleeding: If you haven't been assessed for anal bleeding I would start with medical assessment to determine cause.
Itchy Anus: An itchy anus could be caused by many things: detergent allergy, external hemorrhoid, pinworms, moisture, diarrhea etc... Pinworms come out at night, so if you are itching mostly at night, this could be the problem. A piece of clear tape placed on the anus when it is itching at night can show tiny mites. Hemorrhoids treated with preparation-h. Try unscented laundry soap to r/o allergy.
