Tindol??: Are you referring to Tindol (antifungal from Malaysia)?. Were you already taking it? Are you referring to Tylenol? If so - that is fine Sorry - I can not find any information on a medication named Tyndol. ...Read more

And that's logical.: If you do in fact have a viral infection and it's not a high fever, then there are no antibiotics that will help you. Common misconception, the common cold can't be treated with anything other than tincture of time and the right things to boost immunity, vitamin d, c, rest and fluids. Stomatitis: Have you checked for similar lesions inside the mouth? If so, she could be suffering from primary herpetic stomatitis, a herpetic viral infection. Be careful to not allow dehydration. As my colleague pointed out, it could be hand/foot/mouth disease, also viral and needs care in the same fashion. Self limiting. Good luck! ...Read more

Re exam : With adequately treated strep, fever should be resolved by day 4. Have him seen again if he wakes with a fever tomorrow. How was strep diagnosed? By rapid test? By culture? How is his pain? Is he having any drooling or trouble swallowing? Asymmetry of tonsils? Persistent infection can hide various places. Also, if no cx or testing done, several viruses may be culprit, mononucleosis among them ...Read more

48 hours of fever: Poor baby! This timeline is definitely in the realm of fever related to vaccines. I would decide according to how the baby is looking after a dose of motrin. If he perks up and gives you a smile with a dose of motrin, then you can watch him tonight. if he appears ill, is not feeding well, or is hard to console, then bring him to the ER now. ...Read more

May need to be seen: While fevers and even blood in the stool can be from fairly benign causes, anytime a fever starts to last for close to 5-7 days, it could mean a more serious problem. While a good appetite is reassuring, it would be important to explore other symptoms. Also, blood in the stool from a few weeks ago, may or may not relate to this problem.
