Coughing: Hydrate well. Consider using a warm air vaporizer. Mix several teaspoons of honey into herbal tea w a squeeze of lemon juice. Or make tea w 2 tsp of marshmallow root bark per 1cup of hot water (steep in a covered pot for at least 5 mins). Drink several times a day or as needed to relieve coughing. Get checked out!: Weed or not, this needs to be investigated right away. Anyone who smokes something and then develops a cough with black stuff and then blood needs to be investigated right away. See your doctor...: Possible etiologies of this chronic cough include bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, sinus problem or a combination of factors. The metallic/bloody taste could be a med side effect ( not sure what meds you take) or could be post-nasal drip issue leading to bronchospasm.
