Tender neck lymph no: For how long, did you had a similar event in the past? Do you have any R side tenderness along the pharynx, tonsil, ear, TM joint, Any other area with enlarged lymph nodes? Lumps like you: describe are usually lymph nodes that swell when infection or inflammation is nearby. TMJ: Pain is most typically not a fatal medical issue and it is not productive to jump to that conclusion as a first thought when you have pain. If there is nothing else going on (neck mass, weight loss, fever etc) i would think this is probably tmj. This is all the more likely if you chew gum, crunch ice, or clench your jaws at night. Most likely not: It most likely is not fatal, but with your history of hypertension at a young age, you should have it evaluated to be sure it is not a carotid issue. Avoid nsaids until checked as they can add to bleeding issues. That being said, it is more likely something less serious.
