ADD & Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine): I never commit a patient to a lifelong treatment. We don't know what the future will bring. For the foreseeable future, staying consistent with a medication as rx'd by your md will afford you the best chance for optimal control of chronic symptoms, which is part of add. Get tested: "Adult" ADHD usually begins in childhood but then persists into adulthood. If you didn't have it as a child that puts the Dx in question. Yes it is a sign.: ADD is a very challenging condition. Without your medication, probably have significant difficulty completing your tasks at any job. I have "severe adult add." i try but i never get/stay organized, so i'm always spinning my wheels. The harder itry, the worse i get. Are there any strategies for dealing withit?

Go slowly: There are lots of great things that help. First you must have a good evaluation with great testing so you'll have a clear diagnosis. Then medication is enormously helpful for most people.
