These are generally sore to touch and may drain, which if into the eye, may cause redness, mattering & blurry vision. Some result in significant eyelid swelling. Eyelid bump: At age 23, it is unlikely this is a malignant process. However, any type of eyelid lesion can become irritation overtime. It would be prudent to have it looked at by an oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in these things. He can then give you a diagnosis and treatment options. Read more

If it's bothering you and growing and changing shape, it must be looked at by your eye doctor right away to determine what it is, and to look at it under a slit lamp microscope.
