I have a "nasally" voice and I snore is this normal or is there a way to stop it?

Nasal Voice: Usually a "nasally" voice means a stuffy nose. This may happen for many reasons, but each leads to upper airway blockage during sleep. This contributes to snoring, the audible issue of a collapsing airway during sleep. Go see my website for a discussion of snoring: http://www.Twinlakesent.Com/snoring.Html. ...Read more

My baby seems to have lost a bit other voice due to her cold... Is this normal? Is this a bad sign? What should I do?

Hoarseness with a: Cold is pretty common. It means her vocal cords are irritated. The best treatments are good hydration, saline nose drops, & suctioning her nose with a bulb syringe. Use a humidifier if your pediatrician okays it. If she has a recital temperature of 100.4 or above, isn't nursing/drinking well or her symptoms worsen, take her to her doctor. Otc cough/cold syrups are not useful & may be harmful. ...Read more

Hi i got pharyngitis is that a vocal problem and is it contagious and can you talk and sing with it or is the answer no?.

Throat problem only: Pharyngitis by definition is usually a viral infection in the back of the throat., it can certainly be contagious. Also it may lead to laryngitis. But you can talk and sing with this symptom. If you should develop hoarseness, then you must rest both your talking and your singing. Pharyngitis is not a vocal problem. ...Read more

Depends: If the finding is just a low -titer positive ANA , it often means nothing although it suggests that you may be more prone to an autoimmune disease. If you are feeling well otherwise, I'd doubt that the condition is serious. ...Read more

How can I tell if a bump on my tongue is a tumor? It seems to be irritated in morning. I have a permanent retainer. I have an app not sure go sooner.

Have it examined: The chance of a serious growth on your tongue is minimal at your age. Whether or not it's normal, an inflamed papilla, a small benign growth or something else can be determined once you see a dentist to have it e-valuated. Most likely this will not even need to be biopsied but does need to be seen, especially if it’s been there more than 2 weeks. ...Read more

I don't have a toothache but there is a lot of swelling. I also have a hard time chewing. What could be the problem?

Cause of swelling: Swelling generally occurs as a result of trauma and infections. From what you describe it sounds like you have an infection. Infections do not always cause pain unless they become acute. Untreated infections, whatever the cause, are potentially dangerous as they can lead to serious complications! see a dentist as soon as possible for a proper diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more
