I have a sharp pain on my lower right side abdomen. It is not constant, but rather frequent for 2 days now. Even sharper when I breathe in.

An emergency!: When lower abdomen hurts when you breathe in, it is likely that you are developing peritonitis in that area. This can be cause by an appendix about to burst, or by an enlarging cyst on your right ovary. The former is an emergency, the latter can be serious, or just caused by an egg popping out of your ovary halfway between periods. Only medical evaluation can help tell the difference! I keep getting light headed and almost faint I also have sharp pain in my lower right side when it happens?

I keep getting light headed and almost faint I also have sharp pain in my lower right side when it happens?

You got one heckuva: Mittelschmerz.....MAYBE.....There certainly could be other things but I think the key thing here that would tie any and all other potential causes together to explain what's going on revolves around the pain involved. The intensity of the pain is very possibly the major cause for becoming lightheaded and nearly fainting. You need a checkup. You shouldn't be putting up with this regularly. ...Read more

I'm having sharp pain in my lower right side plus there's a lump about the size of a tennis ball pirotruding through my abdomen, what could this be?

You need an exam!: Without an exam, it would be foolish to try to diagnose this. Especially if these are new, acute events - take yourself to your doctor, urgent care or an ER. If they've been around for awhile, it's still very worthwhile to have an examination and find the right treatment if possible. I hope it goes well! ...Read more

Can Crohn's disease cause appendicitis? I have a sharp stabbing pain on my lower right side.

Not directly: While patients with crohn's disease can get appendicitis, crohn's does not cause appendicitis. The most common location of intestinal inflammation from crohn's is the terminal ileum, located in the right lower abdomen (near the appendix). Sometimes crohn's can affect the appendix. It can be difficult to differentiate the 2 conditions. Best to see a doctor if you are not improving. ...Read more
