Get evaluated.: There are many causes of testicular pain and you should see a physician for a history, physical examination, and then possibly a scrotal ultrasound. The most worrisome is torsion, when the blood supply to the testicle is twisted closed. Infections can result in epididymitis or orchitis. ? appendix testis: If pain is confined to tiny tender swelling on upper end of scrotum. Epididymitis or epididymal cyst could all produce theses symptoms. Suggest you see a urologist, who may well advise an ultrasound exam. This needs eval: There is really no way you can figure out what this is without an examination. It could be painful and swollen due to trauma, fluid build up (hydrocele), inflammation (orchitis), or many other causes.
