Antibiotic/nasonex: You do not say what you are on or have taken. You need to take antibiotic such as z-pak / levaquin (levofloxacin). Also, should be on anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator i.e. Albuterol or combavent plus spiriva or the newer pressair. May need a course of steroids. As for the horseness, this has many causes but try cough drops first. If you have been on treatment, you could have thrush. Tip-see doc. ...Read more

10-14 days: A cold can take up to 10-14 days to fully resolve. It is important to allow yourself to take full and adequate rest in order to speed up recovery. Take 3-4 days off from work, sleep a lot, gargle with warm salt water with turmeric. I have a runny nose, sore throat, weak, & a headache. What medicines do you recommend?

Rest & Liquids: If you have a virus, which is a common cause of head colds, i'm afraid the best thing is to rest and drink plenty of clear fluids; your body will have to largely fight this off. Acetaminophen can help alleviate some of your discomfort, and warm herbal tea with honey is very soothing for a sore throat. If you have a high fever however, might be good to swing by your dr.'s office. ...Read more
