More details are: needed. WHERE exactly in your back do you have the discomfort. An esophageal blockage can cause pain in your upper back! More details but suffices to say you need to have these symptoms evaluated by a Gastroenterologist. Gallstone/pancreas: The most likely explanation is pancreatic problems or gallstones, but there are other possibilities like gastritis, duodenal ulcer, GERD or even esophagitis. If pt takes a lot of ibuprofen it could be NSAID gastritis. If fever or vomiting go to ER otherwise call your doctor to be seen as soon as possible, e.g tomorrow AM. Side effects ECP: I'm not sure if ECP means emergency contractive pill or another acronym.
