Occipital neuralgia?: This may be occipital neuralgia. If you have had it for six weeks straight, it may be worth visiting your doc. They can recommend someone to inject the nerve to see if the headache is coming from there. If it is there are some options, if not well then you would continue down the diagnostic pathway.

See your doc: This could be a spinal fluid headache. Occurs rarely after epidurals, when the Dural, lining does not heal. This can be easily fixed, but not until, it is correctly diagnosed. Call the doc who administered the injection to inform him/her of the situation

Why do I always have a headache? I get them almost every day. They are usually felt at the side or front of my head.

TMJ: Headache originating at the side of the head are usually associated with the temporalis muscle and tmj. This muscle just so happens to attach to the jaw and can become hyperactive when your bite or jaw is not in a proper position. Tmj is a syndrome and presents with many symptoms that appear unrelated. I suggest you see a dentist specially trained in treating TMJ headaches make life miserabe.

Stress or: Position of head. Do you sleep in an odd position. Do you have a very restless sleep. These are things that may contribute to your headaches. Make sure it is none of the meds that you may take. Trauma would be another consideration or work in a position that may be a cause of neck strain. Try some ibuprofen occasionally for headache prevention.

Headaches in the front of my head could it be allergies?

Headaches in the front of my head could it be allergies?

Usually not: Allergic rhinitis (hay fever) rarely causes headaches. If you have severe nasal symptoms for several days the swollen nasal lining may interfere with frontal sinus drainage causing frontal pressure and if this continues the pressure can increase to pain. This process develops and resolves over many days. If you have the sudden onset of headache resolving in 24 hr, it is not allergy related.

I occasionally have horrible headaches, they don't bother the front of my head, or the sides, only the back. Is this a migrane?

Could Be Neck Issues: If preliminary evaluation by your primary doctor doesn't help, consider evaluation of your neck to make sure nothing is awry there. Many times the facet joints in the neck or even herniated disks could be a cause of this issue in the back of head. Alternatively it could also be occipital neuralgia in the back of the head if the neck evaluation reveals nothing.
