I Have A Cyst On My Right Ovary
I have a brownish discharge I've had it for about 5 days also I have a cyst on my right ovary. Could it be from that?
Unlikely.: The ovaries aren't really directly connected to your vagina in anyway that would cause bleeding/discharge. It's possible that if the cyst were a functional cyst, as in a hormonally active one (corpus luteum), that its expected resolution might lead to something like a period is possible, but even that is unlikely if it's a longstanding cyst diagnosis. I would visit your gyn and get a vaginal exam. ...Read more

OCP's and bleeding: There are many reasons women will have dysfunctional bleeding. I am assuming they performed an ultrasound because they saw a cyst on your right ovary. The test would have identified fibroids or a polyp as well (that could explain dub). You may want to skip the placebo pills this month to see if you can get your bleeding under control. It can take 4-6 weeks to see the benefits of ocp's. ...Read more
I had a followup TV ultrasound for lack of period for 5mths, now I have parovarian cyst on my right ovary. Could that be related to my PCOS? Hcg neg
Not likely: Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a bit of a misnomer, one needn't have a 'cyst' to have the diagnosis. Having said that, a lot of women have paraovarian cysts without PCOS, as well. PCOS is more of an endocrine disorder, than a problem with cysts. Women with PCOS often dont' have a period, and can have excess testosterone, excess estrogen and increased risk for diabetes. ...Read more
