The cyst remains...: It will be easier to make recommendations after a md examines you, but most likely the lesion never goes away because the cyst itself below the skin remains. It is like a little bag of debris that gets infected. If/when the cyst is removed the lesion will not recur. ...Read more

Can sebaceous cyst hyperplasia go away on its own on the face?

Can sebaceous cyst hyperplasia go away on its own on the face?

No: So a sebaceous cyst can shrink or get infected and grow — but it is never really completely gone unless it is resected (removed) surgically. This is because the entire cyst shell and wall must be removed. The best person to do this is a surgeon or someone with lots of experience. See your local doctor or general or plastic surgeon for help. ...Read more

So, your eye specialist can examine you, do a dilated fundoscopic exam to look inside your eye(s) too and give you a definitive answer. That's the best thing to do! Don't delay! ...Read more

A : A board certified full scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon (oms) would be able to perform a comprehensive head and neck exam and rule out a possible oral source for the "cyst". Most recently trained oms are trained to perform aesthetic procedures about the head and neck and could competently manage your problem.
