TMJ Sounds?: The menier's syndrome is not well known to me so I can not speak on that. However the fluid that the inner ear utilizes to control balance is no where near the area were you could hear sounds produced by it. I would more likely assume that you are hearing crepitus from your temporomandibular joint. Not your ear: The sound is not likely coming from the ear itself, or a muscle at all. More likely a ligament or bone in your upper neck is the source.
