Need to see MD: It sounds like you have a new-onset floater. This is part of a natural occurrence called posterior vitreous detachment, where the gel inside the eye separates off from the retina, sometimes forming visible clumps in the process. Because this process can sometimes cause tears in the peripheral retina which can lead to retinal detachment (a vision-threatening thing), you should be seen asap. ...Read more

See dentist asap: one, there is no lymph nodes in the cheek and two this sounds more like a tooth infection of a right upper tooth so I would see a dentist asap. I have a numbness and a slight burning sensation on my quadricept area. I don't know if I need to get it looked at or if it will just go away.

Dunno either but ...: You are with yourself every day and so you can easily monitor the time course of your symptoms. If things are getting better then I would just pursue a course of watchful waiting. If you believe things are getting worse then by all means do come in for a further evaluation. ...Read more

Usually: The eye will mostly clear out hemorrhage in the back of the eye over a somewhat slow time. The source of the bleeding might need treatment, especially if it is related to diabetes. If the hemorrhage persists for months, and seems not to change, then a retinal surgeon should be seen for possible surgical removal. ...Read more

I have two bites, very red, and one has a red line coming out of it. Should I go to the ER or can I wait to go see my doctor tomorrow?

I have two bites, very red, and one has a red line coming out of it. Should I go to the ER or can I wait to go see my doctor tomorrow?

Start at urgent care: if you were bit by an animal then yes you should see a doctor. Most Urgent Cares can take care of this. If this is an insect bite and the areas are small, you have no fever or breathing problems then you could also wait an see how they improve and go to your doctor tomorrow. If you have known allergies to insect bites go to an ER today. ...Read more

I have poison ivy it started on my left foot then spread and I have a little on my balls do I have to go see a doctor and how can I make it go away?

I have poison ivy it started on my left foot then spread and I have a little on my balls do I have to go see a doctor and how can I make it go away?

Suggestions: Poison ivy is a delayed reaction of the skin to the oil of the plant. That's why it looks like it spreads - but it doesn't. Rash just appears at different times depending on when it was exposed. If you have showered since the exposure then the oil is gone. I try to avoid steroids unless wide spread and feeling miserable. Scrotal skin thin and may have larger reaction. See your MD if worsens. http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/understanding-poison-ivy-oak-sumac-treatment ...Read more

I have a concretion on my upper eyelid. Will it go away by itself or what can I do?

A few possibilities: This could be due to allergies, dry eyes, or eye infections. All can start or affect 1 eye first. The treatments are very different. For allergies, zaditor (ketotifen) is a good otc eye medicine. For dry eyes, lubricating tears are necessary. For infection, usually of the eyelids, start with eyelid warm compress and diluted baby shampoo scrubs. You should have a baseline exam with your eye doctor. ...Read more

My cat scratched the white part of my eye and I cleaned it but it still hurts, I don't know if I should go to a doctor or?

Let'sSeeEyeToEye: You'd best go get it looked at. Cats have stuff on their teeth and claws that can cause a problem relatively quickly. So before anything goes wrong get someone to look at it. Chances are you'll be fine but why take any chance when it comes to your eyes? Good for you for rinsing it out but if it still hurts that's a sign that something may go wrong.A doctor can take a close look under magnification ...Read more
