Weight bearing?: If you are able to bear weight on it and move it then it's probably not broken. An xray can tell for sure. A blood collection under the toenail can evolve into wonderful colors. If ithere is painful pressure under the nail then a simple procedure to drain can provide instant relief. Otherwise be patient and the itching is a sign of healing. The blood is from vessels that have obviously been injured. The key now is prevent further injury as well as stabilize the toe so healing can proceed uninterrupted.
