Depends: If you had a pericardial effusion treated by left anterior thoracotomy approach for pericardial window, it will take 2-6 weeks to heal. Pain can take some time. Be well.

No: I would be looking for other explanations. Perhaps even post herpetic zoster (shingles)? Sometimes there is no rash. I'd also look for problems along the upper spine. Besides your regular doctor you might also see what acupuncture or manipulation would do but I think you are right to ask for another explanation. You : You need to seek medical attention right away. You could be dealing with an infection, or more serious breast cancer. Make an appointment to see your primary care provider right away for a complete history, physical, and diagnostic testing. The testing will likely include a culture of the discharge, blood tests, breast ultrasound, and mammogram. Your docor will decide on what is needed based on his/her finding during the initial visit.
