I had my cryosurgery a few days ago. I was told to expect a watery discharge but til now have not experienced any. Is that normal? My doctor only froze my cervix for two minutes, was it suppose to be done longer?

Different protocols: Not everyone has a watery discharge. We warn people about it because it can otherwise be a bit of shock. There are different protocols for freezing the cervix. In my practice, I either use a single freeze that lasts 5 minutes or freeze for 3 minutes, allow it to thaw and then freeze again for 3 minutes. Best wishes! ...Read more

Maybe: After pregnancy, miscarriage, or vaginal/uterine surgery it is not unusual to get a discharge until healed. Often this discharge will have an odor because of blood/old blood and bacteria in the discharge. To be safe have this evaluated by doctor. Possible: It is not unusual to bleed for several weeks after a c-section and the odor issue can be subjective. "feeling bad" is not very specific but i would suggest seeing your doc; it could be an infection of the uterus or even the great if you are breast feeding. It's uncommon to have a uterine infection after c-section remote from the procedure, check your temp but discharge and some bleeding not unus. ...Read more
