Possibly: If you are taking Progesterone to support the pregnancy, then your period will not come, so that's not a reliable sign of pregnancy. It is possible to have a false negative 12 days after iui, but not at 19 days. Try a test, and then call your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Emergency pill, safe sex on no fertile day, first period showed up, negative pregnancy test but still no period?

Unlikely to: Be pregnant, but may want to recheck hpt at a later date. This all could be avoided by using protection - plus you wouldn't have to worry about acquiring an std or HIV infection either. If you're old enough to have sex, learn to do it responsibly. ...Read more

I had a d&c 4 and a half weeks ago and i still haven't had a period. I got a negative pregnancy test a week later. Is this normal?

Clarify: I assume that you had a D&C related to pregnancy/miscarriage. If so, many patients will resume menses 4-8 weeks later. Of course, if your menses were previously irregular, your situation may differ. ...Read more

Home pregnancy tests are very accurate.: They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  if you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more

Got a short, 2 day period 5 days after Plan B. Two weeks later, got a negative pregnancy test on day of my expected period. Could I still be pregnant?

Got a short, 2 day period 5 days after Plan B. Two weeks later, got a negative pregnancy test on day of my expected period. Could I still be pregnant?

Unlikely: If you did not have unprotected sex since the "two day period", it is unlikely that you are pregnant. You may wish to repeat the pregnancy test in a week, if you do not get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

Period is five days late and negative pregnancy test. Could I still be pregnant?

Yes: if you are using standard urine pregnancy tests it is possible that they are not sensitive enough and that you are not far enough along in a pregnancy to be detected. That being said, typically negative urine preg means not pregnant, the only way to be sure is to see your doctor and have a beta quantitative HCG blood test. Best of luck. ...Read more

Period is now 5days late and still getting a negative pregnancy test. What's going on?

Hormonal imbalance: You may repeat the test in 3-4 days, if you do not get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD. Consult this site for more information on this topic. http://www.nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/menstruation/conditioninfo/Pages/causes.aspx Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
