Depends on cause: Many stomach aches will get better on their own with time. Gas pain, gallstone pain, reflux etc may last for 20 min to a couple hours and then resolve. I'm : I'm not sure what pills you are taking for your abdominal pain. Common pills for a feeling of burning would include tums, rolaids, zantac, (ranitidine) tagamet, or pepcid. If you have not had relief from your medication then you need to see your doctor for an evaluation. You could have an early ulcer or a multitude of other abdominal problems.
